Wellington's newest electric buses are now on the road.
There are twenty five buses in total, and the Fully Electric buses are reducing noise, diesel fumes and greenhouse gas emissions.
Look for our new electric buses on the number two route.
The buses can run all day, from before six am, to after midnight on a single charge.
With just a single gear in each bus, they provide a smooth ride, without lurching, unlike the older diesel buses.
